Jordie Lunn was not just some epic mountain bike stunt rider, YouTube star, podium worthy athlete or an Instagram doubleclick, for us at Kali Jordie Lunn was family.
The news of his loss is devastating to everyone here. He has been a member of the extended Kali family for years and we have been following his career for much longer than that.
"Jordie was easy to be around," said Brad Waldron, Kali founder. "He never made you feel like he didn’t have time for you even at Crankworx, his biggest stage."
As with all our athletes, we much preferred to see his smiling face and hear about his past escapades and his future goals, than to actually watch him attempt something spectacular. He was always so full of life, loved his fellow riders and truly loved getting up to a little mischief.
"For me, Jordie was awesome to be around off the bike, those are the thoughts that come first," said Waldron. "What he did on a bike, a class of his own, this news hits us hard."
His personality was both larger-than-life and down-to-earth. He was snatched from this place way too early and our deepest sympathy goes out to all those who were close to him.
Lost, but not forgotten.
